The highlight of our year was Catherine & Brian’s wedding. Leading up to that special day, we spent many happy [and a few stressful] hours ‘getting ready’. There were the usual activities of shopping for Catherine’s wedding dress, writing invitations, selecting the menu & floral arrangements, and helping coordinate a bridal shower, In addition, Sonia undertook the tasks of making Rosalie’s flower girl dress, Catherine’s veil, and her own mother-of-the-bride dress. They each turned out beautiful. Everything went pretty smoothly on the day of the wedding! Rosalie and Frank were part of the wedding party and got to dress up for the occasion. They were both very cute! We were all happy with the wedding outcome, and ready to relax afterwards. Brian & Catherine did their relaxing in Tahiti, while Sonia and I relaxed at the Jersey shore!

Sonia and I love spending time with our grandkids [Kara & David too]! We both believe you can never have too many pictures of the kids.
We spent a week in March, including our wedding anniversary, in St. Martin — one of our favorite Caribbean islands. It snowed in NJ while we were away, making it even better to be slumming on a nice, sunny beach. We explored several new beaches and restaurants, having a very relaxing week. Additional pictures in St. Martin album.
Our last visit to Sedona was back in 2006. We're glad we went back. Being there in October let us get out among the Red Rocks with mild temperatures. We enjoyed this trip even more than our last visit. Additional pictures in Sedona album.
We celebrated Easter dinner with the Voorhis clan at our house. The new porch table got lots of use during the summer. We made several day trips to the Jersey Shore and caught both days of Pope Francis' visit to Philadelphia. On the return from our fall trip to VA, we stopped for a long lunch and sightseeing in historic Harpers Ferry. After Thanksgiving we were in Atlantic City to visit with Sonia's brother Nick and family.
As you can see, it was a great year for Michael's fascination with photographing bugs and other 'wild' life.
For several of the events, I've put together separate albums with additional pictures. Please see the links below if you are interested.
