We spent an enjoyable week with Matthew at his new house near Blackhawk, Colorado. We experienced the local public transit [RTD] from the airport to Golden -- very good. With Matthew's as a base of operations, we saw lots of sights: restaurants in Golden, Golden Gate Canyon Park, Clear Creek Canyon Park, Roxborough Park, Echo Lake [near Mt. Evans], Idaho Springs, Georgetown, and Evergreen. We had several dustings of snow, but nothing that hindered our travels. Although Blackhawk is a casino town, we only visited one of the casinos and that was to gamble on their buffet -- a definite win!
